Tonight was the first time a group of us got out together for months. Literally. We’ve all, for one reason or another been riding far less than previous years, and for some of us it shows. I felt utterly shite on my bike, like I’d never ridden off road before. I did however feel fairly confident when hosing the bike down at the end. That at least is one area where I can still hold my own with the best of ‘em.

back in business

Hey, look at that, it’s sunny. Who’d have thought that we’d get sun in May. This time last week it was like a pissing wet November.

reluctant innerleithen visit

Forced, against my mildly hungover will, to visit Innerleithen. Even a broken bike didn't stop 'em dragging me away from the couch as it was arranged that I would borrow Yarra's Nomad (WOW! what a bike). Turns out (and don't tell them this) they were right. Good times and a farewell to the hangover. Although no one fell off, not sure what happened there.

Video of final North Loop Descent. Not very good as my rear mech died in a tangle of chain at the top and I couldn't pedal as a result. Worth a post as we were all there though.
